MSU Research Foundation Welcomes Four Startups to Incubator Facilities

(Jan.-Mar. 2026) Four new startups joined the Foundation’s incubator facilities in East Lansing and Grand Rapids, expanding activity in artificial intelligence, software, and advanced imaging technologies.
EAST LANSING, Mich. (Apr. 14, 2026) — The MSU Research Foundation welcomed four startups to incubator facilities in East Lansing and Grand Rapids between January and March.

- KJA Night Vision (kjanightvision.com) – Designs and sells customizable night vision and thermal imaging systems, along with components and accessories, for professional and civilian use.
- MadeLabs (madelabs.io) – Develops custom software and AI-enabled solutions that help organizations modernize systems, recover stalled technology projects, and scale digital products effectively.
- Redacted AI Solutions (redactedaisolutions.com) – Develops secure, on-premise artificial intelligence tools that help legal teams search, summarize, and draft documents while maintaining strict data privacy.
Joining the startup community at The Bridge in Grand Rapids is:

“Welcoming four new companies this quarter reflects the continued growth of Michigan’s startup ecosystem, particularly in areas like artificial intelligence, software, and advanced imaging technologies,” said Jeff Smith, Director of Research Parks at the MSU Research Foundation. “These companies are building very different solutions, but they share a need for access—to space, expertise, and the right connections. By bringing those elements together in our incubator environments, we help companies move faster and strengthen connections across Michigan’s innovation ecosystem.”
By bringing early-stage companies together in shared incubator environments, the MSU Research Foundation increases access to university research, startup programming, and regional partners—helping companies grow more efficiently and strengthen connections across Michigan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Foundation delivers this support through its incubator facilities, which provide dedicated space, programming, and operational resources tailored to emerging companies and research groups, including:
- The TIC, a 7,000 square foot collaborative workspace for tech startups in East Lansing, featuring 19 offices and two conference rooms. It is operated in partnership with the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) and the Lansing Regional SmartZone.
- The Bridge incubator, located on the fourth floor of the Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building in Grand Rapids, offering 19,400 square feet of office space and collaborative work environments.
