As an MSU Research Foundation portfolio company, incubator tenant, or ecosystem partner, you can unlock access to a variety of MSU resources—from library collections and fitness facilities to on‑campus dining.

Program Benefits

Your MSU Library Community Borrowers card will be issued during your first library visit. Cardholders may borrow up to 25 items at a time and access databases from public computers in 1 East, near the reference desk. Unless you have a Net ID, remote access to online resources is not available. For more information, call 517‑353‑8700 or email reachout@msu.edu.

To use IM facilities, first create an account online. Memberships are available by day, week, month, or semester. Facilities include:

  • IM Sports East: 804 E. Shaw Lane, between East Shaw Lane and Wilson Road.
  • IM West: 393 Chestnut Road, next to Spartan Stadium.

Your MSU Affiliate ID card provides discounts at the Tennis Courts and Forest Akers Golf Course (for the cardholder only). The Affiliate ID cannot be used to purchase sporting event tickets.

Contact the parking office to purchase parking passes.

Affiliate ID holders receive discounts at the MSU Bookstore.

There are dining locations on campus that you can access using your MSU Affiliate Card.

How to Get Your Affiliate ID

Your MSU Affiliate ID card is your key to accessing campus facilities, discounts, and other benefits. If you or your employer are an MSU Research Foundation portfolio company, incubator tenant, or strategic partner, accessing your MSU Affiliate Program benefits is simple. Follow these steps to receive your MSU Affiliate Card:

Step 1: Request

Complete this form to begin the Affiliate ID request process.

Step 2: Approve

You will receive an approval email from the MSU Research Foundation team.

Take the email information to Room 170 in the MSU International Building (427 N Shaw Lane) on a weekday between 8:00AM and 4:45PM to get your MSU Affiliate ID card.

The card costs $10 (unless specified otherwise).

Please ensure the card has a number sequence on the back.

Step 3: Activate

Scan both sides of the card and submit through the form below. You will receive an email confirming when your card has been activated, allowing access to facilities and other benefits.
