MSU Research Foundation Welcomes Four Startups to Incubator Facilities

(July-Sept. 2025) Four new startups joined the Foundation’s incubator ecosystem this quarter, expanding innovation in digital security, healthcare, sustainability, and creative media.
EAST LANSING, Mich. (Oct. 14, 2025) — The MSU Research Foundation welcomed four startup businesses to incubator facilities in East Lansing between July and September.
Joining the startup community at the Technology Innovation Center (TIC) in downtown East Lansing are:
- Ecourage Global (ecourage-global.com) – Designs refill stations and reusable packaging that make it easy for consumers and brands to reduce plastic waste through clean, convenient refills.
- IOPRO – Develops contact-lens technology that continuously monitors eye pressure to help doctors detect, diagnose, and manage glaucoma and other eye conditions.
- Maka Media (makamedia.co) – Produces children’s videos and playlists created with child-development experts to support learning, imagination, and emotional growth through meaningful stories.
Joining the startup community at the VanCamp Incubator in East Lansing is:
- Xmore AI (xmore.ai) – Develops artificial intelligence tools that help companies detect and respond to digital security threats automatically, making cybersecurity faster, smarter, and less dependent on human monitoring.
“We’re excited to welcome a diverse range of startups to our incubator ecosystem,” said Jeff Smith, Director of Research Parks at the MSU Research Foundation. “Each brings a fresh perspective on innovation—from digital security and medical technology to sustainability and creative media—and together they strengthen the collaborative environment that makes East Lansing a great place to grow.”
The TIC and VanCamp Incubator are facilities that support early-stage companies and research groups through comprehensive startup programming and services provided by the MSU Research Foundation. The TIC, located in East Lansing, offers a 7,000-square-foot collaborative workspace for tech startups, operated in partnership with the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) and the Lansing Regional SmartZone. The VanCamp Incubator, located in Meridian Township near Michigan State University, offers 22,000 square feet of office and wet lab space tailored to life sciences, biotechnology, and physical sciences ventures.
