MSU Research Foundation Welcomes Five Startups to Technology Innovation Center (TIC) Incubator Facility

July-September 2023 Update: The Michigan State University Research Foundation welcomed five startup businesses to the Technology Innovation Center (TIC) in Greater Lansing, supporting ventures in agriculture analytics, computational drug discovery, and the transition of orthopedic innovations into practical medical applications.

EAST LANSING, MI — The Michigan State University Research Foundation welcomed five startup businesses to the East Lansing Technology Innovation Center (TIC) incubator facility in the first quarter (July-September) of the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

Aerial Vantage supports the agriculture industry and first responders in making informed decisions using aerial data obtained through drone technology. They conduct regular drone flights to collect extensive aerial imagery, managed and accessible via their Accelerate data platform. Using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) analytics, Aerial Vantage creates valuable insights from this imagery and other data sources.

ATTMOS Inc. is a computational drug discovery company focused on using advanced technology and analysis to improve the drug discovery process. Their goal is to modernize and enhance pharmaceutical industry methods for discovering new medications more efficiently and effectively.

Translational Osteosynthesis is a biotech company focused on moving innovative orthopedic devices and treatments from research to actual use in surgeries. The company develops, manufactures, and sells emerging orthopedic devices and technologies. Their goal is to connect the world of research with practical applications in hospitals, offering services like planning studies, designing hardware, and overseeing experiments. They help researchers create effective models and manage their experimental data in a well-organized cloud-based system.

Also joining the TIC are Holocene Systems, LLC and Innomotive.

The TIC incubator is a multi-tenant facility in Greater Lansing, designed to support emerging companies. It occupies 7,000 square feet and offers tech startups a collaborative workspace, programmatic support, and essential resources. With 19 offices and two conference rooms, the TIC serves as a hub for forward-thinking entrepreneurs to share ideas and build exceptional companies. The TIC is operated in partnership with the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) and the Lansing Regional SmartZone.
