File Types and Color Modes
Understanding file types and color modes helps maintain consistency and quality in our visual communications. Each file type and color mode serves specific purposes, ensuring our brand assets are optimized for different applications. FILE TYPES
JPEG (GOOD): Widely compatible and good quality with smaller file sizes, suitable for documents, presentations, and internal use.
PNG (BETTER): Supports transparency and high quality, optimized for quick loading, ideal for websites, social media, and digital content.
EPS (BEST): Vector-based and scalable without loss of quality, perfect for promotional items, clothing, brochures, posters, business cards, and professional printing.
COLOR MODES
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black): Used for print applications, combining four ink colors to produce a wide range of colors, ensuring accurate reproduction by printers.
RGB (Red, Green, Blue): Used for digital applications, combining red, green, and blue light to create vibrant colors on screens.
K (Black): For single-color print applications.
W (White): For use on dark backgrounds.
