Karri Christie, CPA
Real Estate Accountant
As a Real Estate Accountant with the MSU Research Foundation, Karri's primary responsibilities revolve around processing financial transactions for real estate properties and gifts of property, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Her duties include financial and budget reporting, data analysis and forecasting, and processing various accounting transactions such as journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit cards. She also manages the recording and tracking of capital assets and oversees the administration of gifts of donated property.
Karri graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the State of Michigan. She began her accounting career as an auditor for a public accounting firm, where she primarily served nonprofit and governmental industry clients. She is a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) and resides in the Greater Lansing Area.
