Howard Akumiah

Howard Akumiah was a member of the debate team at Michigan State University and after graduating in 2015, he spent time at Google, Facebook and Pinterest before establishing Betty Labs, a startup focused on building consumer social apps for sports fans. Betty Labs created Locker Room, an audio based social network app designed for fans, insiders and athletes, and was acquired by Spotify in March 2021. He is the recipient of the Young Alumni Award from Michigan State University in September 2022 and joined the Foundation board in June 2023.
